Cold weather comfort foods

As a grocer, I spend my days staring at lovely ingredients, so menu planning is not too difficult.  Since I get home at 8:00 most nights, my suppers tend to be super quick- thank goodness for Bombolini and Pizza Tonight, right?

When I do get some time to cook, I love playing with soups like this Wild Rice with Red Curry recipe, adapted from Heidi Swanson.  Or, trying my hand at a vegetarian cassoulet...

And sometimes, an ingredient just intrigues me.  Like peanut flour- have you ever used peanut flour?  I brought some home, along with Reginald's Homemade Double Chocolate Peanut Butter (which, ahem, I had also been thinking of a reason to try) and made these fantastic, gluten free cookies!
