Join FARMSTEAD FERMENTS for an inspiring and educational workshop on vegetable fermentation. Farmstead Ferments, a small food business based in Charlottesville, creates raw and naturally fermented foods & brews filled with seasonal and locally grown vegetables.  Farmstead Ferments is known for creating wild and creative ferments --- here's an opportunity to learn how they do it and what their creative process looks like.

Farmstead Ferments' Creative Director, Chelsea, will lead a discussion on the history, culture, and health benefits of lactic acid fermentation. The class will focus on the practical application of vegetable fermentation techniques including the skills needed to make sauerkraut, kimchi and pickles. Class attendees will have the opportunity to make sauerkraut to take home and will leave with the knowledge of how to experiment further in a home kitchen.

Tickets are $25, reservations are required.  Reserve your spot online or in the store.
